About Us

Nathan Contractors is a leading civil engineering contractor delivering specialised services across Australia's infrastructure market. Operating from Northern Queensland to Victoria, we work on some of the country's most exciting civil infrastructure projects.

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a proactive and driven Internal Recruiter to manage the full recruitment lifecycle for our site-based teams and contribute to our company's success by ensuring we attract and retain top talent in the industry.

The Position

As an Internal Recruiter, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment of roles across multiple projects. From advertising and shortlisting to interviews, onboarding, and ongoing workforce planning, you will be a key part of our business operations. You will collaborate with hiring managers, site supervisors, and project teams to ensure that all roles are filled efficiently with skilled and qualified candidates who align with Nathan Contractors' standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with hiring managers, site teams, and project leads to understand workforce requirements and provide recruitment support.
  • Talent Sourcing: Build a strong pipeline of skilled blue-collar workers through proactive sourcing strategies, database management, and engagement with industry networks.
  • Onboarding & Mobilisation: Facilitate a seamless onboarding experience, ensuring new hires are fully prepared with compliance checks, documentation, and pre-start requirements before deployment to site.
  • Workforce Planning: Support project teams by forecasting workforce needs, managing candidate pipelines, and maintaining talent pools to ensure minimal downtime on projects.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all recruitment activities align with company policies and industry regulations, maintaining accurate records of hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Training & Development Coordination (Desirable): Assist with booking training and competency assessments to ensure employees meet project requirements.
  • Plant Management Support (Desirable): Work alongside project teams to coordinate plant allocation and workforce logistics where required.
What's on Offer
  • Impactful Role: Play a key part in shaping the workforce of a leading civil construction company and contribute to high-profile infrastructure projects.
  • Supportive & Fast-Paced Environment: Work within a dynamic, collaborative team that values efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Career Growth & Development: Opportunities to develop your skills, take on additional responsibilities, and grow within the organisation.
  • Competitive Salary & Benefits: Be rewarded for your contributions with a competitive salary and benefits package.
About You
  • Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment, ideally within civil construction, mining, or another blue-collar industry.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner with hiring managers and site teams to meet workforce demands.
  • Ability to manage multiple roles simultaneously while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail.
  • High level of organisation and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
  • Experience in plant management and/or booking training is highly desirable but not essential.
