GPGPU Software Engineer – NVIDIA VIDS | Digital Video Systems

Location:
Sydney | Hybrid | 12-Month Contract

A global leader in
video surveillance technology
is seeking a
GPGPU Software Engineer
to join a high-impact team developing advanced video processing systems. You'll work on
GPU-accelerated video pipelines
using
NVIDIA VIDS kernels
to support real-time streaming and analytics in
critical infrastructure environments
.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimise GPU-accelerated video components using CUDA and NVIDIA VIDS kernels
  • Improve real-time video decoding, encoding, and streaming performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on video systems architecture and delivery


What You'll Need:

  • Strong hands-on experience with CUDA, NVENC/NVDEC, and NVIDIA Video SDKs
  • Solid C/C++ development skills in performance-critical environments
  • Experience with video frameworks (e.g. FFmpeg, GStreamer) and streaming protocols (e.g. RTSP, ONVIF)
  • Proven ability to work on real-time or low-latency systems


Bonus Skills:

  • Familiarity with DeepStream, OpenCV, or embedded GPU platforms like NVIDIA Jetson
  • Background in surveillance, video analytics, or control systems
