About the role
Join the dynamic team at Brisbane Laser Cutting Services as a full-time Production Operator based in Burpengary, Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a young, growing, dynamic team. As a Laser Operator, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
The role will initially be on Day shift. Monday to Friday with overtime available.
What you'll be doing
- Operate a variety of production equipment in our extra process section such as edge rounder, radial arm drill, tapping machines, and press brakes
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on production equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Monitor production processes and quality control measures to maintain efficiency and consistency
- Collaborate with the wider team to identify and implement process improvements
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously enhance your skills
- Operating a forklift to move product.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a machine operator or production role within the Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics industry
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain production equipment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- A valid forklift licence or a willingness to obtain one
