Standard Work Coordinator

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Standard Work Coordinator is responsible for the development of standard work documentation. In this role, you will ensure that the safest and most efficient ways of carrying out tasks in the Workshop are established.
This is a 6-month fixed term contract.
Roster: Monday – Friday 8.5 hours per day (including unpaid meal breaks) – 6-month fixed-term contract
Location: South Guildford, WA
What you'll do:
- Develop and maintain standard work documentation for workshop processes
- Liaise with departments to gather input and ensure procedural accuracy
- Write clear, safety-compliant build and strip-down instructions
- Capture and document workshop data to support efficient component assembly
- Ensure all documentation meets style, content, and safety standards
- Deliver high-quality procedures within agreed timeframes
- Support continuous improvement in workshop task execution
- Collaborate with process owners to align documentation with operational needs
Skills and Experience:
- Mechanical aptitude or trade background, ideally with workshop or machinery experience
- Ability to document processes and write clear, functional instructions for technical tasks
- Strong communication skills across all levels—verbal, written, and interpersonal
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
- Experience in customer service or admin roles with exposure to technical environments
- Familiarity with parts, components, or workshop operations (internal or external)
- Initiative-driven with solid problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Knowledge of Caterpillar SIS and machine components is an advantage, not a must
