About the opportunity:
We are now looking for an Experienced Printer or Coater Operator to join our team in Mulgrave NSW. Our Printers are the core of our business to produce quality products for our customers within the required targets.
Our roster is a Fortnightly rotating roster between Day and Afternoon shift (7.6hr day) Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Safe operation of the Printing Press or Coater Machines to deliver perfect product within the assigned daily production
- Have an eye for detail when printing label products which have tight quality specifications
- Ensure timely set-up of machines including tooling, plates, films, ink, and paper for the print run
- Work flexibly, to ensure customer needs are met and to minimise downtime
- You will contribute to all steps in our production process and practices including, Quality, Safety, Good Manufacturing practice (GMP) housekeeping and Environmental control measures
- Form a trusting bond with your teammates, pre-press operators and broader production crew and communicate effectively across multiple work groups
- Support minor maintenance tasks and trouble shooting.
- Support other team members (printers, assistants' pre-production) with tasks to ensure customer and production needs a are met
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Ideally a Qualified Printer with 3+ years' experience working with any flexographic, digital or press printing.
- Trade Certificate in Printing
- Must be able to work autonomously and take initiative
- To have high attention to detail and proud of your work standard – quality focus
- Demonstrated planning and organisational skills.
- Be a team player that can communicate effectively across multiple work groups.
