A new opportunity is available for a QA Software Engineer to support the quality and reliability of advanced embedded sensor technologies. The role focuses on ensuring robust testing procedures and quality controls are in place throughout the product development lifecycle.

This position is ideal for someone with a hands-on approach to testing and a strong understanding of automation, embedded systems, and CI/CD pipelines. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of performance, reliability, and test coverage for evolving software and hardware platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines
  • Develop and execute performance benchmarking tests for both current and future sensor products
  • Conduct manual pre-release testing and field validation to confirm feature implementation
  • Identify and close gaps in test coverage across multiple product lines
  • Document, triage, and escalate software issues using structured bug tracking systems
  • Support user acceptance testing and coordinate with stakeholders during release cycles
  • Perform end-to-end systems integration testing for new sensor modes and capabilities
  • Assist in data acquisition and processing to support algorithm development
  • Align QA testing strategies with broader technical and product objectives
  • Collaborate with software and hardware teams to drive defect resolution and continuous improvement

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • 3+ years of experience in software QA, SDET, or verification and validation roles
  • Proficient in Python and comfortable working with embedded systems
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks such as pytest, Selenium, or equivalents
  • Experience working in Linux environments and with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD methodologies and test automation best practices
  • Experience in integration/module testing, mocking interfaces, and simulation environments
  • Knowledge of Xray or other test management platforms is a plus
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and documentation skills
  • Passion for process automation and agile development environments
