The Shellharbour Club are expanding our kitchen brigade; we have multiple Full-time opportunities for Demis, Commis & Cooks to join our growing team and contribute to the continued success of our multi outlet operation.

We are looking for people who will make a positive contribution to the Club's future whilst taking advantage of the potential career path on offer as the Club continues to grow. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, willing to learn new skills and has proven experience in a fast paced kitchen. Most importantly, we want people who have a passion for food and thrives working in a busy environment across a range of shifts including days, nights, split shifts and weekends.

The Role

  • You will assist the kitchen brigade with the smooth operations across multiple outlets by performing cooking and food preparation duties to a high standard.
  • Ensuring preparation lists are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring the safe handling and storing of food items.
  • Maintaining safe, clean and comfortable premises in accordance with Club policies and procedures.
  • Compliance with WHS standards and principals.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in similar roles within a fast paced, high volume venue.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of WH&S, Food Safety and hygiene practices.
  • Availability to work days, nights, weekends and split shifts.
  • Knowledge of safe food handling principles and cleaning practices.
  • Demonstrate sound communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude.
  • Sound time management skills.
  • Relevant trade qualification.
