- Permanent Part-time role: 30.4 hours per week (some flexibility on working days and hours)
- $38.65 – $41.45 per hour (SCHCADS Award LV3)
- Based at the Ozanam Learning Centre in Woolloomooloo

Exciting opportunity to create meaningful change in the lives of people experiencing disadvantage. As an Engagement Worker, you will be at the heart of community impact, helping individuals access services, participate in programs and achieve positive outcomes. Working with compassion and professionalism, you will support people from diverse backgrounds and contribute to initiatives that strengthen communities. You will also be part of a collaborative team that values empathy, inclusivity and continuous learning.
Your Responsibility- Provide general support and service for community members using the Ozanam Learning Centre Facility
- Design and deliver social engagement activities that reflect consumer voice and evidence-based practice
- Provide professional responses to membership, volunteering, donor and support enquiries, including intake assessments and external referrals
- Support people experiencing disadvantage to engage with programs and services that meet their needs
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with organisations and stakeholders to achieve service outcomes
- Capture and report data accurately to support continuous improvement
- Contribute to a positive team culture that puts people and community at the centre of decisions
Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in community services or a related field
Experience working with people experiencing disadvantage, including those affected by homelessness, trauma, mental health issues, alcohol and other drug use or unemployment
Strong interpersonal skills with cultural sensitivity and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds
Ability to assess needs and respond effectively to enquiries
Confidence in applying de-escalation strategies in high-conflict situations
Strong computer, organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Flexibility and resilience in adapting to changing environments
