Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Mid-Senior Python Engineer, based in Melbourne, VIC, with some work-from-home flexibility. The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and optimize back-end systems and software applications. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with cross-functional teams, writing and testing Python code, ensuring the efficiency and scalability of applications, and managing databases to support robust back-end development. The role also involves contributing to architectural decisions and improving existing systems.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development.
  • Strong skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Programming concepts.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with Databases, including database design and optimization.
  • Experience with Python development frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid team environment and independently.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring junior developers is a plus.
  • Familiarity with modern development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems is beneficial.
