The opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join our growing team, on a full-time basis.

This role will ensure smooth execution and successfuldelivery while maintaining Bisons standards of excellence. Working closely with the project team, subcontractors, and suppliers, you will be instrumental in maintaining project documentation, processing variations, and ensuring contractual obligations are met.

Experience will be valued, and you'll enjoy the autonomy to manage your work with confidence and clarity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administering contracts and subcontracts across commercial construction projects ($2-18m+)
  • Monitoring and maintaining document registers including distributing all current and revised documentation to project team members and all project stakeholders as necessary
  • Managing timely procurement processes, purchase orders, subcontractor engagement, and tender comparisons
  • Preparing and assessing variations, claims, and contract correspondence
  • Tracking project budgets, forecasts, and cashflow reporting with precision
  • Collaborating with consultants, clients, and project managers to keep projects moving, ensuring compliance and quality of contract delivery.
  • Assist with the rollout and training of the Procore system.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Construction Management/Engineering/ Surveying or related discipline - or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of Contract Administration experience within the Construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and Australian contract law
  • Advanced computer literacy and proficiency in contract administration software and tools is essential
  • Strong negotiation and mediation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Excelhighly regarded
  • Additional qualifications in law – desirable
