Senior Solutions Architect

This is a unique opportunity for you to join Reserve Bank of Australia. You will support the Essential Eight Maturity Uplift Project which is focused on implementing critical security controls to achieve Maturity Level 3.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solution Architect to join our team on a 1-Year fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will have experience in designing, architecting, and implementing security-focused applications and SaaS tools. Your expertise will directly contribute to strengthening the Bank's cybersecurity posture in alignment with the Essential Eight Maturity Model.

We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect who:

• Develop solutions architectures, high-level designs, and impact assessments for bank initiatives and systems.
• Take ownership of architecture deliverables for Conceptual and Solution Architecture documents, ensuring agreement and endorsement from all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with analysts to define business requirements and work with subject matter experts to create high-level designs that align with enterprise architecture, patterns, and practices. This may occasionally include detailed design work.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to scope initiatives, ensuring alignment with architectural objectives and principles.
• Experienced in producing Solution Architectures for complex solutions, including infrastructure, cloud, on-premises, and hybrid solutions.
• Capable of identifying and documenting dependencies with other projects and systems.
• Drive the Architectural Certification process to completion for key project deliverables.
• Proven background in software/infrastructure automation and a solid understanding of the tools used.

Technical Capabilities

• Demonstrable Application Architecture experience in a large, security conscious organisation, over the next 12 months we will be tackling such areas as ; Windows 11 rollout, Microsoft Office Macro Security, Integrated Cloud Email Security, Server and Workstation Application Control, Privileged Access Workstation for Developer, application and SO patching around Vulnerability Management, MFA expansion, and AUPDNS solution.
• Knowledge in vulnerability management.
• Experience working in agile and hybrid project environment.
• Understanding architecture design that enhances controls to achieve Essential Eight Maturity Level 3.
• Knowledge in development principles, tools, and frameworks.
• Understanding of strategic and new and emerging technologies and their practical application.
• Experience in architectural disciplines across a range of complex projects and technologies.
• Proven ability to solve solution design and architecture conflicts.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, influence and persuade peers and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• TOGAF is preferred.
• Tertiary qualifications relevant to the Bank or IT industry.
