Enrolled Nurses & Certified Community Support Workers - Hervey Bay

Across Australia Just Better Care provides in-home aged care and disability support services, supporting people to live independently. We are currently looking for Enrolled Nurses and Community Support Workers to join our Wide Bay team, specifically Hervey Bay. We offer both casual and part time so you can enjoy a flexible and balanced work life and support people in your community to live their best life possible.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Shift work and weekend availability
  • Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
  • Domestic services: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
  • travel/transportation - approx 30km radius
  • Social support, social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
  • Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment including: standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual handling or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids and other physical aids
  • Supporting participants within Just Better Care's Supported Independent Living Home
  • Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
  • Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
  • Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required

What you will need:

  • Minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services
  • Proof of Vaccination (where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate
  • Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Card
  • Current Working with Children Check (where required in accordance with state based legislation)
  • Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is preferred)
  • Smartphone with internet access
  • Certificate HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication or its equivalent (Desirable)
