Position: Casual Skippers (Weekend Work)
Location: Perth to Busselton
Employment Type: Casual (Early mornings, weekends)
Pay Rate: $40 per hour ($80 per hour on public holidays)

Shore Coast Marine is a new start-up business that provides marine services for events, with a focus on delivering reliable marine operations. We pride ourselves on maintaining top safety standards and ensuring smooth event execution for our customers.
Role Overview:
We are seeking experienced and qualified skippers to join our team on a casual basis. This role involves operating small vessels during events, managing the placement and anchoring of buoys to set event courses, and ensuring safety operations in proximity to swimmers and shorelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate small vessels in close proximity to shorelines and swimmers.
- Safely anchor buoys to set and maintain the event course.
- Transport event officials as they monitor participants.
- Monitor water conditions and respond to potential hazards.
- Work closely with the event team to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Ensure compliance with marine safety regulations and Shore Coast Marine guidelines.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum Coxswain Grade 3 certification.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Surf lifesaving Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) driver qualification.
- Experience handling small vessels in surf conditions and near swimmers.
- Access to a tow vehicle to transport vessels to and from the boat ramp for launch and retrieval.
Schedule:
- Casual, early mornings on weekends.
- Locations: Perth to Busselton.

- Mullaloo – 4:30am to 1:30pm (Saturday 27 December)
- Sorrento - 4:30am to 1:30pm (Saturday 10 January)
- *Koombana Bay - 5:30am to 3:30pm (Thursday 22 January)
- *Koombana Bay - 5:30am to 1:00pm (Friday 23 January)
- *Koombana Bay - 5:30am to 12:00pm (Saturday 24 January)
- *Koombana Bay - 5:30am to 12:30pm (Sunday 25 January)
- City Beach to Scarborough – 4am to 12pm (Saturday 14 February)
- Mullaloo – 4:30am to 11:30am (Saturday 28 February)
- North Cottesloe – 4am to 11:30am (Saturday 14 March)
