• Manager All-Rounder
• Barista All-Rounder
• Roastery Operations Assistant

1. Manager All-Rounder

This pivotal role will lead our front-of-house operations and contribute to the smooth running of our roastery café.

Key Responsibilities:

• Front Counter Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of the front counter, ensuring efficient service and a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and delegate tasks to front-of-house staff, creating rosters and fostering a positive, productive work environment.
• Operational Excellence: Develop and implement improved ordering systems for efficient inventory management and stock availability. Identify and resolve operational challenges proactively.
• Customer Service & Engagement: Uphold and enhance our reputation for delivering outstanding customer service by engaging with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Food Preparation & Menu Innovation: Prepare food items and contribute to new and seasonal menu ideas that delight our clientele.
• Barista Expertise: Deliver consistently high-quality coffee beverages and lead by example in barista operations.
• Social Media Contribution: Assist with content creation to build our online presence and customer engagement.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Prior experience managing a café front counter, including rostering, ordering, and staff delegation.
• Strong leadership and initiative with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Fluent English communication skills (essential).
• Must hold Australian Citizenship.
• A professional, reliable, and positive presentation at all times.
• A genuine passion for coffee and exceptional customer service.

2. Barista All-Rounder

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Barista All-Rounder who thrives in a busy café environment and is equally comfortable with food preparation duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coffee Service Excellence: Consistently prepare and serve espresso-based beverages to high standards, operate grinders and coffee equipment, and maintain beverage quality control. Educate customers on coffee origins, roasting processes, and brewing methods.
• Customer Service: Deliver friendly, efficient service while building rapport with regular customers. Process orders accurately through POS systems, handle transactions, and address customer inquiries or complaints professionally. Promote seasonal offerings and upsell products where appropriate.
• Food Preparation & Safety: Prepare and serve light meals, maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, support inventory management and stock rotation (FIFO principles), and keep preparation areas clean and organized.

Desirable Requirements:

• Previous barista experience in a commercial café.
• Experience in food preparation.
• RSA and/or Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and a focus on quality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Team player with a collaborative approach.

Working Conditions:

• Casual employment with regular shifts, including Saturdays.
• Busy, customer-facing café environment.

3. Roastery Operations Assistant

We are looking for a Roastery Operations Assistant to support our roasting operations and wholesale services. This role is ideal for someone with energy, initiative, and a strong interest in specialty coffee, who wants to play an important part in the production and delivery side of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Support: Work with the production/operations team to follow daily and weekly schedules. Assist with roasting, packaging, and dispatch of coffee orders.
• Inventory Management: Maintain on-site inventories and support efficient stock control processes.
• Logistics & Delivery: Deliver coffee orders to wholesale clients, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Equipment & Setup: Assist in setting up and maintaining coffee service equipment and coffee carts, including minor maintenance tasks.
• Wholesale Training: Provide barista training and coffee knowledge support to wholesale clients.

Requirements:

• Barista and coffee experience (beneficial but not essential).
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate in a small, diverse team.
• Proactive attitude with problem-solving ability and willingness to contribute ideas for system improvements.
• Experience with production or process systems (desirable).
• Clear and effective communication skills for both internal team collaboration and client interaction.
• Physically capable of lifting and handling tasks that involve standing, bending, twisting, and moving for 4–6 hours daily.

Working Conditions:

• Hands-on, active role within a small production team.
• Some heavy lifting and warehouse-style work required.
• Involves travel for wholesale deliveries and client training.

Performance Expectations:

• Contribute to efficient production and roasting operations.
• Maintain accuracy and reliability in packaging, dispatch, and deliveries.
• Support wholesale clients with professionalism and service excellence.
• Suggest and implement improvements to systems and processes.
