We are currently seeking Leading Hand Heavy Duty Mechanics and Heavy Diesel Fitters looking for a great local company with options to work either Fulltime on wages or Casual on Top DIDO rates.

As BTP Australia grows, there are two Full-time HD Leading Hand as well as Heavy Diesel Fitters positions available in our expanding Maintenance team. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance on the mobile fleet in the field and workshop.

Leading Hand Heavy Duty Mechanics and Heavy Diesel Fitters need to be able to meet the below criteria to join our business in full-time permanent positions DIDO from Mackay to our Moorvale and Coppabella sites in Queensland.

Key Requirements

Australian recognized HD trade qualifications including workplace licenses
Experience working on CAT, Komatsu, or Hitachi mining equipment
Sound knowledge in Hydraulic, pneumatic, and drivetrain systems
STD 11 training also S1,2,3 and G2 supervisor training for Leading Hand roles
Driver's Licence and workplace licenses.
Current Coal board Medical
The LH requires previous experience in a Leading Hand or similar role
Knowledge and application of Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace
