South Indian Cuisine Chef – Full Time

Location: Embers Fusion Indian Restaurant, Shellharbour NSW

About Us:

Embers Fusion Indian Restaurant is a well-established and growing restaurant in the Illawarra, known for bringing authentic Indian flavours with a modern twist. We are now expanding our team and looking for a skilled South Indian Cuisine Chef to join us full-time.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook authentic South Indian dishes to a high standard.
  • Develop and maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Assist in planning new menu items and specials when required.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and assist with general kitchen duties.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a chef specialising in South Indian cuisine is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of authentic South Indian cooking techniques, spices, and ingredients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility to assist with other kitchen duties when required.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
