Knox Private Hospital is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to join our team on our Delamere Ward. You will play a key role within a supportive team to ensure our patients have a great experience during their care.

As a Nurse Unit Manager Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • The position is responsible for providing clinical leadership to compliment the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients.
  • You will provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
  • As the Nurse Unit Manager you will be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources

We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Essential Criteria

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Working with Children check
  • Post graduate qualification in Critical Care
  • Previous experience at ANUM or NUM level, or equivalent
  • Compliance with ACSQHC National standards
  • A strong commitment to developing in a management role
  • Computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
  • Proven time management and prioritisation skills
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour management
  • Demonstrated HR management experience
