Fiberglasser – FIFO from Townsville | 8/6 Roster

Location: FIFO from Townsville | Roster: 8 days on / 6 days off | Employment Type: Full-Time | Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

We're seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Fiberglasser to join our dynamic team on a rotational 8/6 roster with a focus on quality, reliability, and safety. This is a FIFO position exclusively out of Townsville, working on a remote site based in Western Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Collaborate with other trades and supervisors to meet deadlines
  • Conduct scheduled inspections of FRP pipework, ducting, tanks and structures.
  • Scope and repair FRP pipework, ducting, tanks and structures as required
  • Advise maintenance personnel on FRP fabrication techniques as per relevant standards and legislation.
  • Display computer literacy

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fiberglass work (industrial or marine preferred)
  • Enter & Work in Confined Spaces certificate within two years
  • Work Safely at Heights Certificate within two years
  • License - C (Car) Class
  • Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck
  • Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform
  • Ability to work in remote site conditions and follow strict safety protocols
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screening
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Must reside in or be able to travel to Townsville to meet charter flights
