Join your local council as an Apprentice Arborist and start a rewarding 4-year journey to become fully qualified. You'll work in the great outdoors, learning from experienced professionals and gaining hands-on experience across a variety of arboriculture tasks, including tree shaping and canopy management, tree health and remediation, environmental development, and safe tree dismantling and removal.
About the Role:
- Learn to inspect trees, perform ground-based rigging and assist with tree removals
- Identify trees and implement maintenance programs
- Prune, trim and cut felled trees
- Operate, maintain, and care for arborist equipment
- Learn how to safely perform tree trimming at heights
About You:
- Hold a valid manual drivers license
- Passionate about a career in the Horticulture industry
- Highly safety conscious at all times
- Currently hold or willing to obtain a valid White Card
- Strong communication and team work skills
- Great attitude
