Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Senior Mental Health Clinician to join the Prevention and Recovery Care Service team at Northern Health.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital.
In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role:
NAMHS Adult Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) services in partnership with Wellways is a short-term, residential treatment services with a recovery focus located in Preston.
PARC provides early intervention for people who are becoming unwell or in the early stages of recovery from an acute psychiatric episode, to strengthen and consolidate gains from the inpatient setting.
PARC offers a unique setting for people to start their recovery journey and resume their role in the community by providing coordinated, recovery-oriented treatment and support.
The PARC Senior Clinician provides expert clinical knowledge, leadership and advanced organisation skills to ensure the delivery of an integrated mental health service to the consumers utilising this service.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience and sound working knowledge of mental health.
- Ability to conduct assessments, formulate comprehensive treatment strategies, maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation, identify and liaise with other key agencies/carers/family involved in the treatment of the client.
- Work collaboratively with our partnership agency and client to develop and implement individual care plans for PARC consumers.
- A knowledge and ability to facilitate consumer and family/carer participation at all levels within the service.
- Be responsible, with other senior staff, for the day to day operational and clinical functions of the program.
