JOB DETAILS: 1 x Temporary Full Time 38 Hours Salary - $74,254 to $81,162 plus 12% Super Location:Liverpool - Cowpasture
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Council is seeking a proactive and capable Truck Wash Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our truck wash facility. In this leadership role, you will supervise and work alongside a small team, ensuring efficient service delivery, high standards of cleanliness, compliance with safety and environmental requirements, and excellent customer experience for both internal and external users.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading and coordinating daily truck wash operations, including scheduling and resource allocation.
- Supervising, training, and supporting truck wash operators to achieve service standards.
- Operating and maintaining industrial wash equipment in line with Council procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensuring compliance with WHS and environmental regulations, including the safe handling of chemicals.
- Managing customer interactions, vehicle scheduling, and point-of-sale transactions.
- Maintaining accurate operational records, chemical usage logs, and financial reconciliations.
- Identifying and recommending process improvements to support efficiency and compliance.
ABOUT YOU:
You are an experienced operator with leadership skills and a commitment to safety, service, and efficiency. With a background in heavy vehicle washing, industrial cleaning, or a related environment, you bring both technical expertise and the ability to lead a small team.
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
- A current Class C Driver's Licence, White Card, and accredited Manual Handling training.
- Proven supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Hands-on experience operating industrial wash or mechanical cleaning equipment.
- Strong knowledge of WHS requirements, safe chemical handling, and environmental compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with staff, contractors, and customers.
- Sound administrative skills, including EFTPOS handling, cash reconciliation, and record keeping.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, maintain high standards, and take initiative in problem-solving.
