The Role:
We are looking for a full-time, permanent Enrolled Nurse to be part of our team at our new clinic in Bunbury. This role will be Monday-Friday with start and finish times varying from 8:00am-5:00pm. You will be assisting our technical team with providing outstanding care to all our patients.
Reporting to the Technical Supervisor, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assist radiologists with the following procedures: ultrasound, screening, CTCA, biopsies, core biopsies, (e.g. barium meals and enemas) and injections (cortisone)
- Assist the technical team with preparation of reports, collation of confidential paperwork and patient films.
- Follow correct PRC protocol for the discharge of patients depending on the procedure undertaken.
- Review the next day's list and bookings to ensure it is correct i.e. time allocation, room allocation etc.
- Liaises with ward staff regarding appointment times for in-patients and to ensure in-patients are correctly prepped, including signed consent forms, medical notes accompany patients, correct consumables accompany patient (e.g. PICCs).
- Liaise with clinic staff and keep Radiologist informed regarding booking alterations throughout the day.
- Ensure the FNA trolley and rooms are kept stocked and medications are within expiry dates.
What do you need to be considered?
You have a genuine interest in providing leading patient care, excellent attention to detail and able to work collaboratively within a team environment. You should also demonstrate the below competencies:
- Diploma of Nursing or equivalent
- Valid registration with AHPRA
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from various social and cultural backgrounds
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a clinical team
- Knowledge of medical emergency procedures, CPR and oxygen administration if required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines & priorities tasks under minimal supervision
- Full Australian working rights
- Ability to provide a Police Check dated within 6 months or willing to obtain
