We have a rare opportunity for a talented and motivated Business Development Manager to join our award-winning company and to work within an agile global business which promotes portable assistive technology (text to speech) for those with learning challenges such as dyslexia.

The Business Development Manager will be based at our Parramatta office (hybrid working is available) to provide a strategic lead that will create pathways to the market and drive forward the business' interests and presence in the Australian education sector, specifically to schools and tertiary.

Scanning Pens is one of the largest suppliers of portable text to speech devices in the world. We are a passionate group of people working to build a world class team to roll out our vision of how these tools can change lives. We are not a hard sales approach company, but rather a consultative group providing workable solutions in the education and healthcare sectors.

Requirements

3+ successful years' experience within the education, EdTech or Special needs (Dyslexia) markets: either sales, or professional services, or field marketing, or customer facing consulting roles
Have a sound understanding of how to implement assistive technology and ways that it can be used to enhance teaching and learning
Proven track record of building effective relationships within education decision makers
Experience coordinating, developing and presenting at conferences and workshops
Ability to travel nationally, as necessary
Occasional international travel may be required
Australian resident with full right to work
