A critical part of this role is acting as the bridge between drafting, engineering and management —ensuring disciplines are aligned, informed, and working collaboratively. You will facilitate communication, promote transparency, and help teams understand each other's priorities, deliverables and constraints, while ensuring that interoffice shared projects are setup correctly for success.

  • Oversee CAD systems, 2D/3D deliverables, liaising with CAD admins for efficient use of software packages
  • Quality management, systems development and reporting
  • Support drafting activities across mineral processing plant design
  • Assist with drafting requirements in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Engage in the performance management of the drafting team

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry Diploma
  • Minimum 8+ years' experience in a similar role (Senior/Lead drafting role)
  • Must have working drafting knowledge and experience across multi-disciplines ie. Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Piping
  • Previous experience in Mineral Processing design
  • Demonstrated experience in training and mentoring junior drafting staff to build technical capability
  • Strong communication (both oral and written) and the skills to report effectively and consistently
  • Knowledge of drafting software systems, AutoCAD/Solid Edge is preferable
  • Results driven with strong organisational and forward planning skills
  • Current and unrestricted AU work rights

Why GRES?

At GRES, we design and build our own plants in-house - giving you full visibility and influence across the entire project lifecycle. This is a rare opportunity to deepen your technical mastery while shaping real-world outcomes in minerals processing.
