Requirements
About The Role
Our Core Logger will be responsible for documenting and analysing drill core samples during mineral exploration for a 6-month fixed contract.
Key responsibilities include:
Identify and record mineralisation, alteration, and lithology features.
Move and organise core trays, ensuring proper manual handling.
Follow established QA/QC procedures for sample collection and submission to assay labs.
Prepare preliminary logs for rapid assessment.
Take detailed photographs of core samples for documentation.
Download and integrate logging data into geological databases.
Participate in regular meetings with geologists to discuss drill core properties.
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental protection.
About You
We require Core Loggers to have the following attributes:
- Bachelor of Science (Geology) or obtaining
- 2-3 years' experience
· Ability to work safely, actively identify hazards and assess risks
· Be self-driven
· Have a keen eye for detail
· Have a proven record of high performance and reliability
· Agility and a willingness to be challenged
· Work well in a team environment
· Have a positive attitude
