The Role

As an Educational Leader at our small, community-based service, you will play a pivotal role in supporting educators to design and deliver engaging learning experiences — including a strong preschool school readiness program and a comprehensive educational curriculum.

You will lead the implementation of a high-quality, evidence-based EYLF curriculum that promotes each child's learning, wellbeing, and development through reflective practice and established early childhood theories.

Your responsibilities would include:

• Mentor and collaborate with fellow educators to align teaching practices with the principles of the EYLF, ensuring a unified approach to children's learning and development. Foster consistency and quality in program implementation while promoting a supportive team environment that encourages shared decision-making and reflective practice.
• Design and implement a play-based curriculum that aligns with the principles, practices, and learning outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework, ensuring that children's learning is supported through both intentional teaching and spontaneous play.
• Observe and document children's progress, behaviour, and development, and provide feedback to parents and staff.
• Mentor and guide your team, to ensures the planning cycle aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework, focusing on the holistic development of each child. Through ongoing observations, assessments, and reflective practices.
• Embrace diversity by planning and delivering programs that are culturally inclusive and responsive to the different needs of all children, including those with additional learning needs, in alignment with the EYLF's focus on equity and inclusion

Skills & Experience

• Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Master of Teaching (Birth to 5 Years)
• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care ( ACECQA approved )

• Current Working With Children Check

• Child Protection Training Certificate

• First Aid and Anaphylaxis Training Certificate

• Food Handling Certificate

• Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and relevant early childhood legislation

• Proven ability to establish and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with children, families, and colleagues

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Warm, nurturing, and professional approach to supporting children's wellbeing and development
