Our team is growing - an exciting opportunity to join global fashion brand Steven Khalil at the Paddington atelier as a Couture Dressmaker & Machinest.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Couture Dressmaker at Steven Khalil located in Sydney, NSW. The Couture Dressmaker will be responsible for constructing luxury dresses through dressmaking and tailoring. The ideal candidate will have experience in lace, beaded & plain fabrics, garment construction and experience in laying and cutting garments within bridal and evening gowns.

You will be liaising directly with the Production & Operations Manager and Creative Director, Steven Khalil.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, be reliable, punctual, efficient and a team player.

Qualifications

  • Dressmaking and Tailoring skills
  • Fitting and Garment Alteration skills
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Previous experience in couture or high-end fashion is a plus

  • Relevant certification or degree in fashion design or a related field

  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting and exceeding

deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and building strong relationships with

client, suppliers and colleagues alike.
