The Opportunity

Skills
We are looking for a talented surgery intern who is interested in working in a dynamic and learning workplace. This 12-month internship offers an outstanding opportunity for a motivated veterinarian to advance their knowledge and skills in surgery. Under the guidance of our specialist surgeons, you will gain hands-on experience in:

• Assisting with a wide range of surgical procedures
• Managing pre- and post-operative patients
• Developing case management and clinical decision-making skills
• Collaborating closely with our multi-disciplinary team
• Participating in rounds, journal clubs, and case discussions

This internship is designed to provide a strong foundation for those considering future residency training or wishing to enhance their surgical knowledge for general practice.

About You
We are looking for a veterinarian who:

• Has a degree in veterinary science (or equivalent) and registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland
• Possesses excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Demonstrates a passion for surgery and ongoing learning
• Has a strong commitment to delivering compassionate patient care
