The Opportunity:

Our client, an AFR Top 100 accounting firm, is seeking an Intermediate Accountant in their Brisbane CBD office in January 2026. A great opportunity to gain exposure to large corporate clients, delivering taxation, accounting, and business advisory services within a mid-tier firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate financial statements for a range of business structures
  • Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, payroll tax, and income tax returns for diverse clients
  • Manage account reconciliations and assist with the preparation of tax provisions
  • Provide clients with clear, practical tax advice in a timely manner
  • Research and resolve complex tax issues, ensuring compliant and effective outcomes

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience within business services or a public practice environment
  • Currently undertaking or looking to commence CA or CPA studies
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships
  • Solid understanding of Australian taxation laws and compliance obligations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and consistently meet deadlines
