We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the dentist/OHT during procedures, ensure a positive patient experience, and maintain the efficiency of the dental practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:

  • Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures.

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments.

  • Provide patients with post-treatment instructions and care.

Clinical Support:

  • Set up and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after procedures.

  • Take dental X-rays and ensure quality imaging.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans.

Administrative Duties:

  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar.

  • Handle patient billing and insurance processing.

  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to ensure optimal patient care.

  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

-Willing to travel across the state of Victoria

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant certification preferred.

  • Previous experience in a dental setting is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficiency in dental software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions:

-Work involves travel in Dental vans throughout the state of Vic

  • This position may require standing for extended periods and some physical lifting.

  • The work environment is a dental office, with exposure to dental materials and equipment.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
