ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Endoscopy Procedure Nurse to join our dynamic team at The Bays Healthcare Group.
In this role, you will work as a part of a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, high-quality patient care during endoscopic procedures. You will be responsible for supporting the proceduralist, and ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative journey. This position plays a key role in delivering best practice standards, enhancing patient outcomes, and supporting a culture of excellence within the perioperative team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide safe, efficient and high-quality nursing care throughout endoscopic procedures
- Perform duties in accordance with infection prevention, sterilisation and procedural standards.
- Prepare procedural rooms and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and clinical protocols.
- Support proceduralists and anaesthetists throughout procedures, ensuring patient comfort and clinical safety.
- Participate in pre-procedure preparation, recovery and discharge as required.
- Adhere to and promote infection prevention and control standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and contribute to quality and safety initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.
- Actively participate in ongoing professional development and mandatory training.
ABOUT YOU:
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse.
- Minimum of 1-2 years in perioperative or endoscopy nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Commitment to best practice, infection control and patient safety.
- A flexible, adaptable and teams-oriented approach to care.
