About the Role:

We're seeking a curious and analytical intelligence professional to join our team at Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Centre in Northam. As an Intelligence Analyst, you'll play a critical role in maintaining operational safety by identifying risks, analysing behavioural and environmental data, and delivering actionable insights to support strategic decisions.

Your expertise will directly contribute to safer outcomes for team members, detainees, and the community.

The role would suit people with backgrounds from working within law enforcement, correctional services, military, customs, immigration, or criminology.

In your new role, you will:
  • Analyse and assess intelligence data to identify patterns and inform strategy
  • Deliver timely and accurate intelligence reports to key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal departments to address emerging security threats
  • Liaise with external stakeholders
  • Contribute to operational planning and incident prevention
  • Uphold MTC's values by promoting safety, respect, and cultural sensitivity
To be successful, you will have:
  • Cert IV in Security Operations or equivalent (mandatory)
  • 1+ year intelligence experience (mandatory)
  • Strong grasp of intelligence frameworks and legislation
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and sound judgment
