About the role:

The MMS maintenance team has an opening for a critical support role.

Supporting the GM of Maintenance, the Maintenance Coordinator is a key resource in our maintenance team. The largest part of this role is the coordination of labour resources across multiple mining projects throughout WA. This is executed through effective team rostering, planning and constant communication across site and head office teams.

Your organisation and attention to detail will help identify resourcing opportunities where you can coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, mobilisation and ongoing support of maintenance personnel.

This is a serious role - maintenance is a key function of MMS. With a large and growing fleet of production mining equipment, we need great people in our team.

  • West Perth based - Monday to Friday
  • Key role coordinating mechanical support labour and supporting a large maintenance team

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for MEM positions across all company projects.
  • Develop and post engaging job advertisements targeting MEM professionals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the quality and capability of MEM personnel.
  • Utilise a variety of sourcing channels — including Seek Talent Search, job boards, and professional networks — to attract top-tier MEM talent.
  • Source, screen, and shortlist qualified candidates for maintenance, trades, and other blue-collar workshop roles.
  • Conduct phone screens, coordinate interviews, and collaborate with MEM Operations Managers to make informed hiring decisions.
  • Oversee and manage the MEM workforce roster, proactively identifying and addressing manning gaps via consultation with recruitment, maintenance, operations and admin teams.
  • Provide candidate details to Payroll for preparation of employment offers and contracts.
  • Maintain a proactive talent pipeline to support timely recruitment in a high-demand environment.
  • Track and report recruitment activities, providing insights and recommendations to the GM of Maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards throughout all recruitment processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates and key internal and external stakeholders.

About you:

  • 3+ years MEM Recruitment experience
  • Passionate about detail and execution
  • Organised - this role is critical and being organised is key to success
  • Outcome driven - you know how important it is to deliver a great result
  • Excellent communicator - this role deals with a lot of stakeholders (fitters, apprentices, workshops, admins and operations)
  • Team focussed - you are comfortable being the glue in the maintenance team
  • Can work independently
  • Experienced - you are experienced in coordinating mechanical support teams
