About the Role

In this position, you will take a leadership role within the Applications Development and Maintenance team, overseeing the ongoing development, enhancement, and support of enterprise systems. You will collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet both strategic and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end development, ensuring delivery of high-quality outcomes.
  • Work with stakeholders (BAs, SMEs) to gather, clarify, and document requirements.
  • Design, develop, and document complex systems following established coding and architectural standards.
  • Maintain code quality, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Identify, assess, and manage delivery and release risks, ensuring proactive resolution.
  • Provide accurate effort and time estimates, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate project status, progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Apply technical expertise in requirements analysis to guide solution design and improve development processes.

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years
    of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in
    Java
    , plus experience with Python, JavaScript, and R.
  • Skilled in frameworks such as
    React
    ,
    Hibernate
    ,
    Angular
    , and
    Spring
    .
  • Experience with
    Azure
    ,
    Databricks
    ,
    DB2
    ,
    SQL
    , Unix scripting, and configuration management tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Bamboo, SVN, Crucible) and automation technologies.
  • Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
  • Strong focus on writing maintainable, scalable code with comprehensive testing (unit and integration).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
