We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the team at Home Care Association.
This full-time position offers the flexibility to work from home on occasion. In this home and community care role, you will provide clinical support services to our valued clients in the comfort of their own homes, helping them maintain their independence for as long as possible. All necessary tools, including a company smartphone and laptop, will be provided.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding communication, documentation, and customer service skills, with experience in community-based Occupational Therapy highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct home assessments across various areas such as daily living activities, mobility, and home safety.
- Focus on fall prevention and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the overall program.
- Develop personalized care plans in collaboration with clients and their families to ensure we deliver the highest standard of care.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with government departments, hospitals, key providers, and other specialists, including networking with regional occupational therapy services.
- Previous experience in aged or community care settings is essential.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislative, regulatory requirements, professional standards, and guidelines within the Aged Care and/or Disability sector.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
Additionally, all candidates must have a valid Driver's Licence in your respective state, certified work rights in Australia, and current National AHPRA registration. Access to a reliable, registered vehicle is required.
