About the role
We are seeking a talented and experienced CNC Operator/Machinist to join our team at A One Tooling and Engineering in Smithfield, NSW. As a casual employee, you will play a crucial role in the production and manufacturing processes, operating state-of-the-art CNC machinery to create high-quality parts and components.
What you'll be doing
- Operating CNC lathes; Doosan and Mori Seiki and mills and other precision machining equipment to manufacture parts and components to exacting specifications
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and other technical documents to ensure accurate production
- Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance
- Working collaboratively with the manufacturing team to identify and implement process improvements
- Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
What we're looking for
- Experience as a CNC Operator, Machinist, Fitter and Turner or Toolmaker, preferably within the manufacturing industry
- Certificate IV Engineering
- Tool-making experience advantageous
- Forklift licence highly regarded
- Strong technical skills and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Proficiency in operating a variety of CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and other precision machining equipment
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and optimise production processes
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and support the overall production goals
