Pascoe Vale, Victoria, Australia The Luxuriate Full time $80,000 - $100,000 per year

About The Luxuriate

The Luxuriate is an Australian candle house reimagining the way people experience scent and design in their homes. We craft one-of-a-kind refillable stone candles — each holder carved from natural onyx or marble — paired with premium refills designed by our perfumer. Our pieces are sold globally and admired for their beauty, rarity, and sustainability.

As a fast-growing business, we are scaling our subscription model, expanding internationally, and building the systems that will carry us into our next phase of growth. At The Luxuriate, we value creativity, craftsmanship, and forward-thinking — and we're looking for people who share that spirit.

About the role

As our Merchandiser & Demand Planner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we plan, forecast, and deliver our product range to customers worldwide. Your primary purpose is to ensure accurate demand forecasting, optimal inventory levels, and efficient stock flow to support our fast-paced growth and seasonal launches.

You'll work closely with the founders, marketing, and operations teams to bring clarity to what we produce, when we produce it, and how much to hold, while leading our transition into CIN7. Beyond day-to-day forecasting, you'll also help us build best-practice systems that will set the foundation for scaling demand planning as the business grows.

Importantly, this role has a global remit — you'll forecast and manage stock not just for Australia, but also for our rapidly growing markets in the US, EU, and beyond.

Your responsibilities

  • Build and maintain rolling demand forecasts across stone holders, candle refills, seasonal drops, and packaging.
  • Analyse subscription trends, marketing promotions, and historical sales to anticipate demand shifts across multiple regions.
  • Partner with marketing on launch planning, ensuring the right products and quantities are available for campaigns in AU, US, EU, and other key markets.
  • Lead the successful transition and setup of CIN7 as our central inventory and planning system.
  • Develop advanced Excel models and reporting tools to support demand planning and inventory tracking.
  • Provide weekly insights on forecast accuracy, stock risks, and supply requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and the warehouse team to align production with global demand.
  • Implement scalable practices and processes for inventory and merchandising as the business continues to grow.

Your skills and experience

  • 2+ years' experience in demand planning, inventory control, or merchandising roles (FMCG, consumer products, or retail preferred).
  • Strong commercial and analytical mindset with proven success in forecasting.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, data modelling).
  • Experience working with ERP or inventory systems (CIN7 highly regarded, but not essential if confident in system migration).
  • Ability to manage product launches, seasonal cycles, and promotional demand across multiple regions.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable setting up new systems and practices in a fast-growing environment.

Your benefits

At The Luxuriate, we believe work should be meaningful and rewarding. You'll join a close-knit, creative team where your work directly impacts our customers and our growth. We offer:

  • The chance to own and shape the entire demand planning function of a growing global brand.
  • A collaborative, creative workplace where ideas are valued and tested.
  • Staff discounts across our entire range.
  • Opportunities to grow your role as the business expands.
  • Flexibility in work style and hours, balanced with hands-on time in our Melbourne HQ.

How to apply

Send your CV and a short cover note telling us why demand planning excites you to [insert email].
