Award: Parents' & Citizens' Associations Award – State 2016 (Retail Operations Stream)

Rate: From $25.57 per hour (plus applicable loadings)

Hours: School hours, part-time (to be discussed)

About Us

Craigslea State School P&C is a community-minded organisation dedicated to supporting our students and creating a strong sense of belonging. Our tuckshop plays an important role in daily school life, offering nutritious, affordable, and tasty meals for our students and staff.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Tuckshop Assistant to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. You'll be working alongside our Tuckshop Convenor and a wonderful group of volunteers in a welcoming, supportive environment.

This position replaces an existing role, and full training and a thorough handover will be provided to ensure you feel confident and supported from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Tuckshop Convenor, your duties will include:

  • Preparing and assembling food items
  • Receiving and checking deliveries
  • Monitoring and recording food temperatures
  • Serving customers and handling cash
  • Assisting with menu updates and special projects
  • Counting, rotating, and storing stock
  • Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Supporting and guiding volunteers as needed
What You'll Bring
  • A current Blue Card (or ability to obtain one)
  • Experience or qualifications in retail, hospitality, or similar
  • Knowledge of food handling and the Smart Choices strategy
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work as part of a team
  • A friendly attitude and commitment to excellent service
