About the role
The role of Tree Worker is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of trees across the Central Coast Council's (CCC) streetscapes, reserves and natural areas through the application of sound arboriculture practices and techniques. This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Medium Rigid (MR) Drivers Licence;
- Traffic Controller or willingness to obtain
- Implement Traffic Control Plans or willingness to obtain
- Chainsaw - Trim & crosscut felled trees or willingness to obtain
- First Aid Certificate
- Extensive experience in general tree maintenance using a range of chainsaws and a chipper, gardening and parks maintenance
- Experience using hand tools and items of minor plant
- Working in a team environment and providing quality customer service to the public

Other important information
- The commencing salary for this position is up to $61k. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $70k on completion of assessment of skills and performance 12% superannuation
- We have two permanent full-time roles available
- This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
- This role is located at the Charmhaven Depot/ Long Jetty Depot
