EMG Workforce are looking for reliable and passionate Engagement Officers to commence a short-term contract to deliver essential employment and community assistance across two remote sites in the Northern Territory. This is a FIFO opportunity from Cairns, QLD, and open to locals from the Nhulunbuy, NT region.

Initially contracted until 12th December 2025, this position has the potential to be ongoing for up to 3 months. Competitive casual hourly rate, with travel allowances on offer for FIFO candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate registration appointments, completing required documents for potential program participants.
  • Develop job plans with program participants, identifying employment barriers and opportunities.
  • Engage in training and gain an understanding of the Remote Australia Employment Service (RAEs) program.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with employers and community leaders to identify employment needs and opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to deliver a culturally safe service, with an understanding of remote employment challenges.
  • Working with Children check and Police check (or the willingness to obtain).
  • Current Open Manual Driver's Licence.
  • The ability to work independently and part of a team.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities.
  • A positive approach and demeanour, with previous experience in employment services, recruitment or similar fields.
