Johnstone and Reimer Lawyers are a well respected general practice firm with offices in Lilydale, Berwick, and Reservoir.

We are looking for a legal assistant to join our busy family law team, based in our Lilydale office.

As a full time legal assistant at Johnstone and Reimer Lawyers, your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Handle new client enquiries and bookings;
  • Carry out a variety of administrative tasks including sending letters and emails and making telephone calls;
  • Drafting correspondence;
  • Collate and prepare briefs, court documents, etc;
  • Collate digital documents;
  • Scheduling and diary management; and
  • Catalogue and sort confidential documents.

Experience in Family Law is not essential but experience and/or qualification in law, justice or administration is required.

Key attributes required are high attention to detail, a good phone manner, and excellent organisational skills. Above all we are looking for someone with a "can do" attitude who is willing to roll up their sleeves to make this role their own.
