Apprentice Carpenter

About the role

As an Apprentice Carpenter at Kotsch Constructions PTY LTD, you will be part of a team responsible for the construction of residential homes in the Ipswich, and SEQ QLD area. This is a full-time apprenticeship opportunity where you will learn the trade and develop your skills under the guidance of experienced carpenters.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting carpenters with the installation and construction of structural steel and timber framing.
2. Following construction plans to ensure precise and accurate work
3. Using a variety of hand and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble materials
4. Maintaining a clean and organised worksite
5. Participating in ongoing training and development to expand your carpentry skills

What we're looking for

1. Willingness to learn and a passion for the carpentry trade
2. Basic carpentry or construction experience is an advantage but not essential
3. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
4. Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
5. Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
6. Physical fitness and the ability to stand, bend, and lift materials for extended periods
7. White Card (Construction Induction Training) or willingness to obtain before commencement
8. Valid driver's licence and reliable transport to travel between job sites or willingness to obtain before commencement
