Eastbrooke Ambrose Family Medical Centre is a comprehensive healthcare and community services hub located in the heart of Mackay, Queensland. Anchored by the Eastbrooke Ambrose Family Medical Centre—one of the region's largest and longest-standing GP clinics—it offers high-quality, patient-centred care supported by experienced general practitioners, full nursing staff, and modern facilities. The clinic has been serving the community since 1976 and is known for its commitment to continuity of care, clinical autonomy, and a welcoming team culture.

Adjacent to the medical centre is the Eastbrooke Health & Community Hub, a purpose-built 2000m² facility that brings together a wide range of allied health and support services. These include physiotherapy, mental health, podiatry, speech therapy, occupational therapy, hearing services, and NDIS support. With ample onsite parking and a central CBD location, the hub is designed for accessibility and collaboration—making it an ideal environment for GPs who value multidisciplinary teamwork and holistic patient care.

GP Clinic Operating Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm. Closed weekends and public holidays

Pathology Operating Hours:

7:30 AM – 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM (Closed for lunch from 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM)

Focus on providing high-quality patient care, while Bupa takes care of the administrative support and operational management.

About You

  • Current FRACGP (or equivalent)
  • Confident in working independently with a high level of clinical autonomy.
