We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Forklift Driver to join our warehouse and logistics team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Forklift Driver – VicMill Ag Solutions Pty Ltd

The Forklift Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently handling agricultural and production materials to support VicMill's daily operations. The role reports to the Foreman, and involves a combination of forklift operation, manual handling, and general support duties in an outdoor regional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts to load, unload, stack, and move agricultural products, packaging, and supplies across storage and production areas.
  • Transport goods between sheds, storage facilities, and loading bays to designated areas in line with production requirements.
  • Ensure products and materials are stored in correct areas to maintain efficiency in production and dispatch.
  • Conduct routine pre-operation checks, monitor forklift performance, and report any operational concerns.
  • Inspect and maintain forklifts to identify wear, damage, or safety risks, and carry out minor servicing or adjustments when required.
  • Assist with manual handling tasks where necessary, including lifting, stacking, or moving agricultural products.
  • Comply with all workplace health and safety standards, ensuring safe practices in handling equipment and materials.

Essential Skills and Requirements:

  • Valid forklift licence (or ability to obtain before commencement).
  • Previous experience in forklift operation (agricultural or industrial setting preferred).
  • Ability to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting and outdoor work in varying conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to follow procedures.
  • Reliability, teamwork, and willingness to contribute to overall business operations.
