Assistant Shop Manager – Spar Express Yamanto

About Us

Spar Express Yamanto is a locally owned and operated convenience store dedicated to providing friendly service, quality products, and a welcoming experience for our community. We're looking for a reliable and motivated Assistant Shop Manager to help oversee day-to-day operations and support the management team in running the business efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
  • Supervise and motivate team members to maintain excellent customer service standards
  • Assist in managing stock levels, ordering, and inventory control
  • Ensure store presentation, cleanliness, and product displays meet brand standards
  • Handle cash management, POS operations, and daily reconciliation
  • Assist in rostering, staff training, and ensuring compliance with workplace policies
  • Monitor sales performance and help identify opportunities for improvement
  • Step in to manage the store independently when required

  • Previous retail or convenience store experience (supervisory or management experience preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently
  • Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn
  • Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends or evenings as needed
