About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fitter & Machinest & Instruments Assembly professional to join our team at IDM Instruments Pty Ltd. This full-time role is based in our Hallam, Victoria office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the Machining & assembly and testing of our high-quality instruments and machinery.

What you'll be doing

  • Assemble a variety of machines and instruments to customer specifications
  • Conduct thorough testing and quality checks to ensure all products meet our high standards
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the assembly process and implement solutions
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation throughout the assembly and testing phases
  • Collaborate with the wider team to optimise assembly workflows and identify areas for improvement
  • Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in machine and instrument assembly,
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to read and interpret assembly manuals and specifications
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
