Library Officer

The opportunity:

• Part-time – 0.5FTE.
• Level 4 – salary range $64,990 - $76,667 per annum pro-rata depending upon qualifications and experience.
• Located at our Eaton Administration Centre.

Are you a qualified and experienced library professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant and forward-thinking community? The Shire of Dardanup is seeking a passionate Library Officer to join our Library Services team on a part-time basis (0.5 FTE).

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of inclusive, innovative, and engaging library services across our two community libraries in Eaton and Dardanup.

What you'll do:

• Deliver high-quality customer service and support across library operations.
• Assist in the development and facilitation of library programs and events.
• Maintain and promote library collections and resources.
• Support digital literacy and emerging technologies, including maker space activities.
• Collaborate with community groups and stakeholders to enhance library engagement.

About you:

• Formal library qualifications are essential for this role (minimum Diploma level or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience in public library services, including program delivery and customer engagement.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in library systems and digital technologies.
• A proactive, team-oriented approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
