About the role
We are currently looking for a Trainer and Assessor to join our team on a full-time basis, delivering nationally accredited qualifications in Child Youth and Family Intervention (CYFI) and Youth Work.
This is an exciting and innovative role that offers the best of both worlds. It includes:
- Travelling to various parts of our great state, visiting workplaces to support staff in achieving their qualification goals. This requires occasional travel and overnight stays, with travel allowances paid in addition to base remuneration.
- Online training and assessing. Working from home during these times is negotiable, provided that you can attend our Maroochydore office when required.

Qualifications & experience
Mandatory requirements:
A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a higher level qualification in adult education; or currently enrolled and working toward a suitable qualification.
Significant recent experience in working in an Australian child protection and/or residential care service, preferably within Queensland.
Other requirements:
- Sound computer skills.
- A professional standard of English language skills, both written and verbal.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Networks and connections with the youth and community sector, preferably within Queensland.
- Adaptability in your training style to meet the needs and preferences of various communities.
- Able to travel as required within regional and rural Qld.
- Permanent work rights in Australia.
- Able to attend our Maroochydore office from time to time.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Travel by road (car provided) or air as required to deliver on-site nationally accredited training and assessment, including overnight stays for between 1 and 4 nights at a time. This could include travel outside of business hours.
- When you are not travelling, you will work with students in an online learning environment.
- Participate in validation, moderation and industry consultation activities.
