We are currently seeking an Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our team in a full-time permanent role (Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week) at our Perth CBD office. This role reports directly to the General Manager of Engineering and is ideal for someone passionate about delivering innovative automation solutions and leading technical teams. This position will be responsible for full project lifecycle delivery—from design through to commissioning—across a diverse portfolio of automation projects.

About the Role

  • Develop and execute technical control system solutions across full project life cycle (design, coding, programming, testing, commissioning and handover)
  • Provide technical leadership in the initiation, execution, reporting, and close-out of projects
  • Lead teams of engineers and control systems specialists to meet technical project requirements
  • Coordinate project deliverables, schedules and budgets alongside engineering and project management teams
  • Participate in presales activities including technical scoping, proposal development and client engagement
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ policies and design standards within your discipline
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in system design, documentation and execution
  • Provide technical input on control systems and functional safety to ensure reliability, compliance and safety

About You

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in control systems engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior project or lead role
  • Proven experience in the delivery, development and commissioning of automation solutions across:
  • Mining and materials handling
  • Mobile machines and stockyards
  • Oil & Gas
  • Networking and communications
  • Proficiency with systems including:
  • Schneider PlantSCADA & ControlExpert
  • Emerson Proficy Machine Edition & Cimplicity
  • Allen Bradley ControlLogix & FactoryTalk
  • Beckhoff, Ignition SCADA
  • Functional Safety Certification is highly regarded
  • Bachelor of Engineering
