About the role

We are looking for a Metal Spray (TWAS) Operator - preferably with Robotic Application experience to join our dynamic team at CGC Engineering in Bassendean, Western Australia. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for operating our robotic metal spray application systems to apply protective coatings to a range of metal components and parts.

What you'll be doing

• Operate and monitor robotic TWAS spray systems to apply repair and protective coatings to metal components.
• Work with precision — ensuring coatings meet quality and spec requirements.
• Support surface preparation, blasting, masking, and post-spray finishing.
• Carry out basic maintenance and troubleshooting on robotic systems.
• Record and maintain process documentation and quality checks.
• Work closely with production teams to keep jobs flowing smoothly.
• Follow all safety and environmental procedures — CGC has a clean, professional workshop environment.

What we're looking for

• Experience as a TWAS / Thermal Spray Operator is a big plus — but not essential.
• A mechanically minded Trade Assistant or similar who's keen to learn.
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Forklift or overhead crane experience (advantageous but not required).
• Hands-on robotic experience a bonus — training provided if not.
